Active & Affectionate Senior Dog Seeking a Warm Bed & Long Walks
We are heartbroken to re-home Turtle, but due to an unforeseen international move, we are unable to bring him with us. He has been a beloved part of our family since he was born in 2014, and we are looking for a loving home where he can thrive in his remaining years.
Turtle is a truly unique boi who loves people, the outdoors, and fun adventures. Though he is 10 he has the spunk of a 4-year-old pup. He’d be the perfect addition to an active/semi-active family that enjoys dogs. Each day, he wakes up bright-eyed and ready to go! When he's happy, he loves to "talk". He enjoys playing with toys and loves to share with humans.
Turtle tends to get along best with dogs who are similar in size (medium/large dogs) and energy, he loves to play with other dogs!
This is an incredibly difficult decision, and we are committed to finding him a home where he will be happy, safe, and loved. If you’re looking for a loyal, slightly quirky, but endlessly lovable companion, Turtle would love to meet you!

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
We want to make sure Turtle goes to a loving and responsible home where he will be safe, happy, and well cared for. Our ideal adoptive family would: Turtle can be a bit neurotic, so we’re looking for someone who understands his quirks and will give him time to adjust. He thrives in a calm, predictable home where he can feel secure. Someone who has owned dogs before, especially seniors, would be a great fit. (Preferred but Not Required) He’s been an indoor dog and should continue to be part of the family, not left outside for long periods. As a senior dog, he may need more frequent vet visits to stay healthy. If possible, we’d love occasional updates to know he’s doing well! Ultimately, we just want Turtle to go to a home where he will be loved, cared for, and given the attention he deserves.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?:
He is very, very loved. This is a difficult decision for us, and we truly want to find him a home where he will be safe, comfortable, and cherished.
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?:
Housing is Inadequate for Pet
Details about rehoming reason (if needed):
We are moving out of the country, and unfortunately, the journey would be too long and difficult for an older dog like Turtle. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but we know that finding him a loving, stable home where he can thrive is the best choice for him. We are committed to ensuring he is placed with a family that will provide him with the care, comfort, and love he deserves.
