At around 45 pounds, Athena is the perfect mix of athleticism and affection—a fun-loving adventurer wrapped in a compact, sturdy frame.
Athena is always ready for action! Whether it’s chasing tennis balls for hours, going on long walks, or romping around with another high-energy canine friend, she’s happiest when she’s on the move. She would thrive with an active guardian who enjoys the great outdoors as much as she does. A fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and burn off energy would be ideal for this playful girl! Athena is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to bring the fun to her next family.
Her intelligence shines through in the commands she already knows—sit, down, shake, bed—and she’s even mastered the art of ringing bells on the door handle when she wants to go outside! Kennel trained and house-trained, Athena is a well-mannered companion who just needs consistency and plenty of exercise to bring out her best. Athena absolutely adores people and soaks up attention like a sponge. She’s incredibly affectionate, but because she’s always ready to play, she’d do best in a home with older children who can keep up with her enthusiasm. She gets along great with other dogs, especially those who match her playful, energetic nature! However, she’s not a good match for small dogs, cats, or other small animals—her playful intensity can be a bit much for them.
