Lulu

Lulu is a beautiful, energetic 9-ish year old pup who is looking for a new home, currently living in Asheville, NC! She's about 50 pounds, and likely a Mountain Cur mix. We adopted her about 7 years ago from a shelter and have been able to give her a loving home, but with some changing life circumstances, I'm not able to keep her anymore.

She's full of energy and sparkle, loves going for long walks and hikes, and can chase a ball for hours. But it's important to note that over the past few years, she has shown some aggression. I will provide more details to anyone who is interested in her, but she is protective of her space, and if you get too much in her grill when she's in a bad mood, she may headbutt you or attempt to bite. She has not injured anyone, but she has gotten close. She's not a cuddler, doesn't usually do well with other dogs (though it's not impossible with the right dog and right human), and typically gets along better with women than with men.

But! She's also a happy girl, and there's nothing like taking her for a hike and watching her sniff all the smells and wag her tail like it's the best day of her life. I think with the right human, could live the rest of her years out joyfully -- she just needs exercise, a ball-thrower, and someone who will respect her boundaries. Please reach out for more information!
