Bassi

My friend’s mom struggles with OCD and was on her way to surrender their cat of 7 years to the shelter. They’ve had her since she was a kitten. I was able to stop her yesterday and find her emergency housing in the meantime but can only store her very temporarily (about a week).

Please let me know if there’s anyone looking to adopt. I do not want to put her in the shelter.

Bassi is a shy and timid cat, but she loves being around you once she warms up. She also loves sleeping with the people she likes. She is spayed and microchipped.

Thank you!

Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Pet Parent Illness
Rehoming reason details (if necessary): I am reaching out because I am currently holding on to my friend's cat who was about to be surrendered to the shelter. My friend's mom suffers from OCD and was on her way to drop her off at the shelter Thursday morning and I was able to intervene to hold on to her for a short amount of time. However, I can only hold on to her shortly (about a week) and I am desperately looking for a more long term solution for her. She was raised with her owners since she was a kitten, she's turning 7 this year. She is also a very timid cat and is slow to warm up. Because of this I was worried that she would not make it in the shelter given her age and her timidness. I also have heard that no kill shelters will transfer to kill shelters if they fill up. I'm not sure if this is true but I could not risk that.
