Hawley

Hawley is a sweet mature lab. A most definite alpha- she puts other dogs in their place.

She was given to us for a companion to our other dog and where it’s been just an okay fit- the rest of our animals have not done well with her. She is not a safe dog for farm life and has gone after chickens and lambs- even when fenced.

Hawley is an outdoor dog, but would love nothing more than to be indoors with a companion. She is kennel trained and knows basic commands. She walks on leash very well. And does well in the car for shorter distances.

She has been around teenagers, but no small children. We are unsure how she will respond to cats or other household pets.

She has been very friendly and calm around many different people that she has met.

She still has lots of energy, but is much calmer than a puppy.

She is an aggressive eater as most labs are- and I’m not sure she has an “off” button when it come to food.

She seems healthy and playful and we have not taken her to a vet in the few months we have had her.

We would love to find her a safe option ASAP.
