Nico

Meet Nico, an almost three-year-old mixed breed from Humble, TX, whose cream-colored coat and zoomie-level speed make him a pint-sized dynamo of joy and affection. Weighing in at just 12 pounds, Nico may be small, but he’s got a heart as big as Texas and a personality bursting with playful energy and snuggly sweetness!

Nico is a cuddle connoisseur who melts right into your arms once he feels safe. He’s also a toy fanatic—squeaky, bouncy, chewy—you name it, he’ll chase it! One of his absolute favorite pastimes is tearing through the backyard at top speed, then circling back for a good game of fetch. He’s lightning fast and full of fun, which makes having a fenced yard a must. Apartment life just isn’t his style—he prefers space to run and isn’t the biggest fan of being left alone, which can lead to some whining or anxious moments.

This little guy is crate trained and knows commands like “in your kennel” and his name. While he hasn’t had formal training yet, his food motivation and love of treats (both dry and wet!) make him a great candidate for positive reinforcement learning.

Nico is neutered, microchipped, and current on his Rabies vaccine. He’s good with cats and can be selective with other dogs, so proper introductions are key. While he’s incredibly sweet, he does need a patient, loving person to help him build trust—he can be timid around new people and doesn’t warm up instantly. He’s especially sensitive to being left alone too long and needs a family ready to help him navigate that with love and consistency.

Nico is ready to blossom into a loyal, playful, and endlessly affectionate companion! Could you be a calm, caring presence for this cuddly whirlwind?
