Gidget

Meet Gidget, a tender-hearted senior Domestic Shorthair from Park Ridge, IL, who has spent years mastering the art of quiet companionship and warm lap cuddles!

Wrapped in a soft gray coat with dainty white paws, Gidget is a gentle soul who thrives in calm surroundings and cherishes the simple joys of life. Her favorite pastime? Nestling into a cozy lap for a long nap, especially after receiving a few gentle strokes or a bit of brushing. She’s a true connoisseur of comfort, perfectly content to snooze the day away, quietly reminding you that peace is a gift she brings with every purr.

Weighing in at 15 pounds of love, Gidget is litter-trained, spayed, and in need of her next loving home where she can continue doing what she does best—offering warmth, calm, and sweet companionship! Her personality speaks volumes: she’s shy at first but affectionate once she trusts you, with a sweet face that lights up when she’s getting attention or being offered her favorite treats.

Gidget prefers the company of humans over other cats, so a low-key, cat-free environment would help her feel most secure. She’s the kind of companion who doesn’t ask for much—just a quiet space, a comfy lap, and a gentle hand. At bedtime, she loves to climb onto your chest, curling up like a tiny heartbeat to fall asleep to.

While she’s currently due for her rabies shot, she’s in good shape for her age with just a little extra kidney support needed—Epakitin added to her food helps her stay comfortable and content. She’s also surprisingly adaptable and can learn house rules easily, whether it’s staying off certain furniture or adjusting to your daily rhythm.

If you're someone with a calm lifestyle and an open heart, could you be the next chapter in Gidget’s story? Reach out today so Gidget can show you the beauty in quiet moments and the joy of soft purrs and warm naps!
