Akela

Meet Akela! Sweet 2 year old dog for adoption
She is currently a foster dog at Happy Tails CC west and is doing great in group and all the staff adore her here. We all want her to find her forever home.
Akela is a very loving and affectionate dog once she knows you. She tends to open up faster to women, however gets along well with all the male staff at HTCC.
She is one of the most chill 2 year old dogs we have ever seen. And gets along best with respectful, more mature dogs.
She would make a fantastic running, or hiking companion and loves long walks. She gets excited about toys however doesn’t quite know what to do with them yet.
She does have some reactivity to strange men approaching her, however is currently in training to work with this.
She is house broken and would love to have someone to just cuddle with on the couch and get pets.

2 year old female
Spayed
Heartworm negative
UTD on vaccines
Microchipped
Crate trained
Good with other dogs. Seems to prefer dogs with more calm demeanors
Did well wirh Arianna (10 yr old) so likely kid friendly
Good leash manners
She came back to the shelter underweight at ~30 lbs but has gained back to a healthy weight of ~40 lbs
