Sunny

Sunny is an energetic and sweet girl! She loves to play and is very loving and snuggly. She is very food motivated. She is definitely a Frenchie. She is sensitive and spunky! Sunny has resource-guarding behaviors when it comes to her food or treats, but she does not do this with her toys. She loves chew toys and tug toys. She loves belly rubs and pets and loves wholeheartedly.

Sunny also went through an extensive month-long training program with a canine behavioral therapist to work on simple commands and with focus on resource guarding. Sunny is smart and silly. She would thrive in a home without small children!

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?: Loving home but without small children. Ideally a family with experience with Frenchies. We want Sunny to be loved and given attention and space to play but knowing that she is sassy and needs space with food.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?: We love Sunny dearly and are heartbroken to have to say goodbye to her, but she would be better in a home without small children. A family with babies or toddlers is not a good fit because young children do not understand her boundaries with food, and she does not understand what she is doing when her resource guarding instincts kick in. So she is most focused on protecting her food and keeping threats to her food out. Older children or adults will understand that space better and be able to live safely and comfortably with Sunny. She is such a sweet and silly girl who loves fully! She loves attention and affection.
