Pita

Meet Pita, a joyful two-year-old Golden Retriever–Husky mix from Choctaw, OK, whose creamy coat and soulful blue eyes are just the beginning of what makes her such a special girl!

At about 70 pounds of pure sunshine and snuggles, Pita is all heart with a whole lot of energy to go with it. She’s a true playful spirit—loves her toys, adores romping around with other dogs, and will never turn down a good cuddle session. Whether she’s zooming around the yard or curling up by your side after a day of adventure, she brings a loving and enthusiastic presence into every moment.

Pita thrives in an environment where there’s plenty of activity and connection. She's kennel-trained and while she handles short separations okay, she can get a little whiny if left alone too long—especially without her canine companion. Her ideal day involves lots of playtime, running, and companionship, making her a great fit for a family that enjoys being active and spending time with their furry friends.

While she hasn’t had formal obedience training yet, Pita’s eager nature and affection for people (including children!) make her a wonderful candidate for learning through positive reinforcement. She’s great with other dogs and loves to play, making dog parks, playdates, or a sibling pup of her own right up her alley. Her relationship with cats is still unknown, but with her friendly demeanor, gentle introductions may go smoothly.

Pita is vaccinated, spayed, and in great health. She’s also part of a bonded pair with her brother—River, a Golden Retriever–Lab mix. They’ve been each other’s world for the past year, and while their caregiver would love to see them adopted together, they’re open to placing Pita in a loving home where she’ll be cherished and given the attention she needs to thrive.

Could your home be the next chapter in Pita’s story—a place filled with joy, movement, and unconditional love?
