Pepper

Meet Pepper, a dazzling one-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix from Las Vegas, NV, whose black and white freckled coat is as striking as her brilliant mind and boundless heart!

Pepper thrives on connection, challenge, and movement. She’s a puzzle master, a quick learner, and a total toy enthusiast—especially when there’s something new to gnaw or figure out! She’s also got a gentle side: she tolerates daily toothbrushing like a champ and melts into affection with her humans, becoming a true velcro dog who simply wants to be near you, watching and working alongside her person.

Pepper is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and house-trained, with a solid grasp of the basics—though “heel” is still a work in progress. She’s curious and clever enough to master just about anything you throw at her. But don’t let her smarts fool you—without enough activity or mental stimulation, this girl will make her own fun... and it may involve redecorating your home!

Pepper does best in a home where she won’t be left alone for long periods and where people understand her working-dog heritage. A large yard, open land, or even a farm would suit her best—she needs a “job” to do and a space to stretch her legs. She can be reactive to strangers in her space, especially in the backyard, and she’s not compatible with cats due to her strong prey drive. Her interactions with other dogs are still a mystery, so gentle introductions would be key.

The most touching thing about Pepper? Her unwavering devotion. If you’re the kind of person who wants a loyal shadow, a hiking buddy, and a dog who will greet you like a rockstar every time you walk in the door—Pepper’s ready for that life with you!
