Apollo

Meet Apollo, a sensitive and soulful seven-and-a-half-year-old Mini Goldendoodle from Grandville, MI, who’s a gentle 25-pound snuggle buddy with a heart full of love. With his soft coat and big, expressive eyes, Apollo is most content curled up beside you on the couch, snoozing in his crate at night, or following his familiar daily routine with quiet confidence.

Apollo is completely house-trained, crate-trained, and low-energy overall. He doesn’t bark much, and while he’s not into toys, he makes up for it with affectionate moments—especially when the house is calm and he feels secure. This sweet boy truly thrives in a peaceful, low-stimulation environment where he can relax and just be himself.

But Apollo’s journey hasn’t been easy, and he's searching for someone special. He experiences anxiety and can be unpredictable when overstimulated, especially with sudden movements or unfamiliar situations. He’s currently on doggy Prozac to help manage his anxiety and has been evaluated by multiple behavior specialists. While he’s never bitten anyone severely, he does nip and snap, so his caregiver feels he’s not suitable for a home with children due to his unpredictable reactions when startled.

Apollo gets along okay enough with other calm dogs and is neutral around cats, but he’s really looking for a quiet home where he can be the center of someone’s world—a caregiver with experience working with anxious or reactive dogs, who has the time, patience, and empathy to guide him through his emotional landscape with compassion and consistency.

He’s up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and professionally groomed every few months. While tooth brushing isn’t his favorite, he tolerates dental chews and water additives, though his teeth may need a little extra attention over time.

This quirky, cuddly pup has so much love to give to the right person. If you have a quiet home, a secure yard, and a deep well of patience and compassion, Apollo could be your most rewarding companion yet!
