Banksy

Banksy was discovered on the banks of Reservoir 51 in Commerce, GA by a hiker—alone, but not unloved. For over a month, he survived outdoors on a makeshift bed of a tarp, blanket, and pillow, living off scraps shared by kind-hearted fishermen. He waited patiently, day after day, for someone to come back for him.
But no one did.
The area he was found in, Banks County, has no animal control services, so his rescue became a team effort. We worked with Jackson County to complete a legal stray hold, and after three weeks with no one claiming him, he officially became part of our foster family on October 19th.
He arrived timid and clearly neglected, flinching at feet and wary of touch—likely signs of past abuse. But oh, what love and patience can do…

His Transformation: From Shy Soul to Happy-Go-Lucky Companion
Today, Banksy is a new dog—and he’s ready to start a new life.
- Affectionate & Sweet – Banksy loves human connection and cuddles, and bonds deeply with those who show him care.
- Playful & Friendly with Other Dogs – Initially shy, he’s blossomed into a social butterfly, often rolling over in playful submission when meeting new furry friends.
- Smart & Eager to Learn – He’s a fast learner, already doing great on and off leash. He listens well and loves structure, which makes training fun and easy.
- Laid-Back but Active When You Are – He’s content just watching the world go by in the yard like a wise old man, but will happily play tag and fetch when it’s time for action.
- Great with Kids, Solo Families, or Multi-Pet Homes – Banksy is gentle and joyful, able to entertain himself but also a perfect playmate or cuddle buddy.
