Meet Toby, a lovable almost two-year-old Labrador Retriever mix from Temecula, CA, whose essence is a warmhearted cuddle magnet wrapped in a soft cream coat and a personality that leans—literally—into love.
Toby is what we call a professional snuggler. At around 48 pounds, he’s got that perfect medium-sized frame for both outdoor adventures and indoor snuggle sessions. Whether he’s flopping beside you on the couch or pressing in close for a lean-in hug, Toby’s mission in life is to love and be loved.
Still in the delightful puppy stage, Toby is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows a solid set of commands like “sit,” “stay,” “lay,” “shake,” and “kennel.” He may not have had formal obedience training, but his natural smarts and desire to please shine through. He’s also microchipped, neutered, and up to date on all vaccinations—ready to start his next chapter with a loving new family!
Toby is friendly with other dogs and adores children, making him a wonderful fit for a family environment or an active guardian who can offer companionship and plenty of playtime. His favorite toys? Anything with a squeak or a chew! He’s got that lab-like love for carrying around toys and keeping busy with a good chew session. Grooming is easy—just a weekly bath and a little brushing to keep him looking and feeling fresh.
He does fine when left alone for short periods, though he might cry a little at first (mostly because he’s so attached to his people). When you return, you’ll be met with a wagging tail, bright eyes, and pure excitement—it’s like you’ve been missed for years instead of minutes.
Toby’s ideal home is one filled with affection, routine, and a soft place to rest his head (preferably on your lap). He’s a tender, loyal pup who just wants to be part of the family, and he's ready to offer his companionship in return.
