Gus

Gus is a 2 year old Silver Labrador. We rescued him from someone off of Facebook who wasn’t taking proper care of him. He was under 40 lbs when we got him at 8 months old. What we didn’t consider is the amount of training he needs. We are a family with two children who are special needs so our time is minimal. We are selfish to keep him from a life that could be much more fulfilling. He’s very prey driven - would make a great duck dog or hunting dog, he LOVES fetch. He’s 66 lbs now(very small for a lab) very high energy. He has permanent eye damage in one eye from before we rescued him he had a double eye infection so severe he couldn’t open his eyes. He has drops for that and trazadone prescribed to him because he has issues calming down after exercise which the vet believes with more training he would be better with that. He does really well with other dogs as well. He is rough with small children, and does not to well with small animals.
