Sandy

Sandy is a loving, loyal hound mix. She’s spayed, house-trained, and happiest when she’s near her person/people.

Sandy enjoys walks, hikes, fetch, and most of all, lounging. She’s great on a leash, has a bladder of steel, and is very well-behaved in the house. She thrives in calm, low-stimulation environments where she can relax and feel safe.

Sandy gets anxious around young kids, loud noises, and energetic animals, so an adult-only home is best (teenagers are fine). She can be selective about other dogs so she would prefer to be the only dog, though she’s done well with chill cats.

We love Sandy deeply and are heartbroken to rehome her, but her fear of our growing toddler has made it clear she deserves a quieter home where she doesn’t have to be on edge.

She’s incredibly sweet, deeply loyal, and would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a mellow best friend.

She just had a vet visit and we will send all of her toys, food, bed, etc with her when you adopt her.
