It breaks our hearts to write this, but we’re looking for a new home for our 5-year-old Labradoodle, Bruce. We got him from a reputable breeder, and he’s been a cherished member of our family ever since—growing up alongside two adults, three young children, and even a cat.
He’s everything you'd want in a companion: fun-loving, goofy, deeply affectionate, and full of energy. He’s amazing with kids and gentle with our cat. He does great at the groomer, with the vet, and when boarded.
However, he struggles with anxiety around unfamiliar people entering the house. He's bitten twice—both times when someone entered before we had the chance to crate him. Because of this, we know he needs a quieter home with someone experienced, patient, and committed to managing introductions carefully.
This decision comes from a place of love. He means the world to us, and we want him to thrive in a home where he can feel secure and fully himself. He’ll do best in a stable household, ideally with someone familiar with reactive dogs and able to give him the structure he needs.
