Bo’s story is one of heartbreak and healing. He was rescued in December 2024 from a severely neglectful situation where he had been chained outside, matted, filthy, and forgotten. Tragically, he was also left outside to endure Hurricane Helene, which left him with a deep fear of thunderstorms. His past has left him with some emotional sensitivities, and he needs a patient, experienced adopter who can offer him both structure and deep compassion.
Despite everything he’s been through, Bo is an incredibly sweet, loyal, and loving boy. He’s eager to please and learns quickly when motivated with treats and praise. He wants to bond, to trust, and to be part of a family — and he deserves that more than anything.
While we love Bo, we’ve come to realize that our environment isn't ideal for his breed or emotional needs. Bo is a true Great Pyrenees: he would thrive in a home with space to roam, something to guard, and a role to fulfill. But he also needs human connection — not just a job. He’s not suited to being left alone on a farm; he wants to be inside with his people when he chooses and to feel safe, secure, and loved.
Bo’s ideal home is one with:
* A secure yard or property where he can patrol and relax
* A family who understands large guardian breeds
* A calm, stable environment with a gentle hand and consistent routine
* Someone who can help him continue healing from past trauma
If you have room in your life and your heart for a dog who’s both a tender soul and a steadfast guardian, Bo will reward you with unwavering loyalty and love.
We’re looking for the right home for Bo — one where he can finally feel safe, valued, and truly at home.
