Meet Hank, a lively almost three-year-old Red Heeler from Santa Rosa Beach, FL, whose gold and white speckled coat is as warm as his loyal, loving heart! Hank is in the sweet spot of adulthood—mature enough to know the ropes, yet young enough to keep life playful and full of energy.
True to his breed, Hank is a smart, spirited companion with a strong desire to stay close to his people. He’s a faithful sidekick, especially devoted to his current family's 7-year-old daughter, whom he adores. Whether he's romping around the yard or snuggling up with a stuffed animal (his favorite!), Hank is always happiest when he's near those he loves. He’s a medium-sized pup, weighing around 35 pounds, with the stamina for farm life and the tenderness of a true family dog.
Hank is house-trained, neutered, and microchipped. He hasn’t had formal obedience training, but he’s got the basics down—he knows “sit,” “shake,” “come,” and his name gets his attention every single time. With no history of anxiety or behavioral challenges, Hank is a breeze to care for, doing well even when left alone for short periods.
Social and friendly, Hank gets along great with other dogs and even cats, making him a versatile match for many types of homes. He’s not fussy about routines, grooming is low-maintenance, and he’s never needed a special diet or medical care. Just give him a little love, a soft place to rest, and a stuffed toy or two, and he’s good to go!
Hank shares a special bond with his best friend Abby, a gentle three-year-old Great Pyrenees. While they can be adopted separately, they’ve grown up side by side and would love to continue their journey together—especially on a farm or in a family setting where they can stretch out and stay close.
