Sophie was adopted from a rescue shelter by a former friend / roommate. This roommate was not able to take Sophie with him when he moved out, so I took her in.
Sophie is a sweet but anxious pitbull who needs to be in an active dog-loving home. She has unfortunately snapped at and gotten into altercations with some of my other pets. Each time this has happened, there has been food in the vicinity. It seems to be a combination of anxiety, jealousy, and territorialism that has triggered this in the past.
This has been a difficult situation that has been stressful for my family. We have done our best to correct behavior, train, separate, etc., but unfortunately she is needing to be rehomed. For her sake, I would prefer to rehome her than dropping her off at a shelter.
She's great around children and has never snapped at or hurt anyone. I would not recommend her being around smaller dogs or cats, at least not if food is around.
