Mochi

Meet Mochi - Gentle Soul Seeking Quiet Home

Mochi is a sweet 12-year-old female grey and white tuxedo cat with white socks looking for a loving and understanding forever home. We adopted Mochi three years ago, and are sadly rehoming due to my health issues – this is in no way a reflection of her behavior. She's a truly good cat who deserves a calm and peaceful life.

About Mochi: What She Needs & What to Know

Mochi is a sensitive girl who thrives in quiet environments. Mochi’s front paws were declawed prior to our adoption which we think contributes to her anxiety. She's easily startled by loud noises and sudden movements and would likely do best as the only pet in a home without children, allowing her to feel safe and secure. She needs a patient owner who will allow her to come out of her shell at her own pace. Once she trusts you, she's incredibly affectionate and loves to greet you at the door and cuddle in your lap (she prefers pets to being picked up).

She has free access to food and prefers to graze, and while she maintains a healthy weight (7lbs), she tends to eat quickly and often vomits, immediately re-eating the vomit. We've tried various solutions and believe a consistent free-feeding approach is best for her anxiety. We're happy to discuss this in more detail with potential adopters and share what has (and hasn't) worked for us.
