Pascal was rescued from a Riverside Kill Shelter an hour before she was scheduled to be euthanized - on July 6th.
She is sweet, beautiful, healthy, intelligent, and gets along with everyone. She walked right into my pack of flock guardian dog rescues (admittedly they are all sweeties) - all at least twice her size - 5 minutes after we arrived home and everyone liked her - zero issues. Even got along with the backyard cat.
Pascal could easily be trained as a service dog - she is almost too smart for her own good. And she has legs like a racehorse - you won't find a better running buddy.
That said, I now have too many rescues and don't have space for her or for Maisie the Great Pyrenees, whom I pulled from the same kill shelter on the same day with Pascal.
When good dogs are less than an hour from being killed and you can save them - you do it - and then figure out the rehoming.
Riverside County Animal Shelters are killing dozens of healthy animals every week for lack of space.
Both Pascal and Maisie need good homes with someone who understands that dogs are not disposable - they are family. If that is you, Pascal would like to hear from you.
Also, if you give her a good home, I promise to rescue another dog from euthanasia. That kind of thing might matter to the type of person who would be a good fit for her.
