We're looking for a safe, loving home for a dog who, due to her pet owner’s (our mom) sudden terminal diagnosis, is no longer being taken care of. We're doing everything we can to make sure she's not surrendered to a shelter. We have a limited amount of time to find her a home, as the situation is serious and urgent.
A bit about Frankie:
• Female, about 5.5 years old
• Possibly pit and staffordshire bull terrier
• Spayed, microchipped
• Housebroken
• Very smart, sweet, and emotionally intuitive
• Has lived peacefully with another small dog
• Is anxious/fearful around strangers
• Would thrive with someone calm and patient who can help her regain trust and confidence
She was rescued off the street in Texas and given to our mom to take care of... things did not go as planned.
Has fear based behavioral issue with strangers: big barks, retreating, growling. No instances of physical aggression.
No biting.
Has not been in contact with anyone but a small dog she's lived with and our mom.
No signs of diseases or illness.
Frankie is incredibly sweet and loyal. She deserves better and I hope we can give her that…
