Jemma

Meet Jemma – A Gentle Soul with a Heart of Gold

Jemma is a sweet, affectionate, and sensitive girl who adores both people and other animals. She thrives on connection and would be happiest in a home with one or more friendly dog companions to help her feel safe and confident. Though she’s still adjusting to life in a home, Jemma has made wonderful progress—especially in environments where she has access to a yard for quiet time and exploration. She’s incredibly responsive to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement, and she’s already showing how eager she is to learn and please her humans. She loves lots of belly rubs and cuddles with her humans!

Jemma is looking for a calm, loving home where she won’t be the only dog, and where patience and kindness are part of daily life. If you have a soft spot for sweet, soulful pups and a yard to share, Jemma just might be your perfect match. Jemma is a good balance of energy, she loves to have time to play and run outside or in a yard, but also likes to spend a lot of her day sleeping and cuddling. She likes to play with her fellow kittens and enjoys a gentle tug of war game with her human friends too!

She looooves having good toys to chew on, nothing makes her happier than to spend time working on a bone!

Jemma is a great pet to have around your home. Most of the day she is content to chill out nearby and have a few times to go out and get some fresh air. She loves to have toys to chew on and will take her cues on her activities and energy from her human friends.

Jemma would thrive in a home with other dogs and ideally with a yard for her to play in. She is still young and takes her cues from other dogs and she is more anxious if she's the only dog in the house. She needs patient guidance and positive reinforcement, but she wants nothing more than to please her humans. Jemma is a smart girl who knows how to sit and is crate-trained. She previously lived in a home with a yard, where she was able to go outside regularly and at her own pace. In new environments where she needs to go out on a leash, she may need extra time and encouragement to adjust her routine. Jemma can be timid with unfamiliar surroundings, so a calm, patient home with a yard and a consistent schedule will help her feel secure and successful as she continues to learn. Accidents may happen during the transition, so we recommend using puppy pads or keeping her in easy-to-clean areas at first. With time, reassurance, and a little management, Jemma will continue to make steady progress.

Jemma is spayed and fully up to date on vaccines, flea/tick medication and completed medication to ensure she did not have worms. She is also microchipped. No known medical conditions or dietary restrictions.
