My brother passed away unexpectedly last fall and left behind 4 cats. Two of them are already profiled, (Danny and Lilbit). I have been taking care of all of the kitties the best I can; however, I live in Charlotte NC and the kitties are in Augusta GA. I need to find forever homes for them all.
Tommy and Cali both appeared at my brother's house during Covid. They were both spayed/neutered, but not microchipped. Unable to find their owners, Roy set up a home for them in the garage, where they had shelter, beds, food, and water, but still had access to the outdoors.
Tommy and Cali have lived peacefully together for the past 5 years, but I think they would be fine going to separate homes. We tried moving them indoors, but the 2 indoor cats were not all happy with that situation. Both Tommy and Cali would love to be indoors. Every morning when I open the door to go outside and feed them, they try to come inside. When I am there, I do allow them in the sunroom, and they are so happy.
Tommy, the black and white male, is estimated by the vet to be about 7 years old. He is sociable and his pet sitters all agree. If I'm sitting outside, he will jump up on my lap. If I walk out to get the mail or walk out in the yard, he tags along. He loves to be combed and brushed, and he loves to play. I do not know how he would react to being around dogs or other cats (besides Cali).
Cali, (calico female) is much more skittish than Tommy. She is shy and is not a social cat. She does enjoy getting combed and brushed, however. She comes to me only on her terms. I cannot imagine that she would be comfortable around dogs or cats (except Tommy). I think she would be best in a quiet environment without children or other animals. The vet estimates that she is also approximately 7 years old. I do feel that it will take someone special and very patient to adopt her. Both Tommy and Cali have recently been to the vet and are in good health. The vet did say that Cali has a heart murmur.
