Chessa

I’m a 12-month-old chocolate lab mix with a big heart and a playful spirit.

Born around July 29, 2024, I was adopted from the San Diego Humane Society on October 31, 2024.

I’m curious, outgoing, and full of personality. I’m house trained, crate trained, and I know commands like sit, down, shake, speak, and heel. Some of my favorite things include splashing in water, going on “sniffaris,” and chasing tennis balls.

I regularly attend doggy daycare with 60+ other dogs and do well in a structured environment. I’m still a young pup learning how to be my best self. I get very excited when meeting new dogs and people, so I’ll need a patient owner to help me practice polite hellos and keep building on my training. With structure and consistency, I settle in beautifully.

Like many spayed females, I take a daily medication to help with bladder control—and I haven’t had any accidents since starting it. I do great with regular potty breaks and a consistent routine.

I’d thrive with an experienced, active dog parent who’s ready to continue my training and adventures. In return, I’ll give you my whole heart (and probably a wet tennis ball or two).

I can’t wait to meet my person!
