We found her on the street—dirty, scared, and in need of care. Since then, she’s been spayed, microchipped, vetted, and has been to the groomer.
She has a sensitive stomach, so we make her food at home—usually chicken or another protein with veggies like carrots, sweet potatoes, celery, squash, and rice. We cook it in batches, and it lasts about five days in the fridge.
She’s about 3.5 years old, 40 lbs, and the vet believes she’s a purebred Husky (just on the smaller side), though we have not confirmed this. She’s sweet, playful, and affectionate—loves the dog park, walks, hikes, and running in the yard. She does best with bigger dogs. She has never howled, we’re not sure why, but has barked on occasion briefly.
The only reason we’re rehoming her is because I took a job in San Diego and my husband and I have relocated and cannot take her with us. We, sadly, just don’t have the time to give her the attention she needs and deserves. We love her deeply and want her to have the best life possible with someone who can give her the time, space, and love she needs.
She is currently with a temporary foster and we need to find her a forever home as soon as we can.
