Meet Ellie – The Sweetest Soul Looking for Her Forever Home
Ellie is a 7-year-old sweetheart who has been part of my life since she was just 3 months old. She has truly been the best dog – loyal, happy, and so full of love. At one point, she was my whole world, and it breaks my heart to be rehoming her. This decision has nothing to do with Ellie truly — she has done absolutely nothing wrong. She is incredibly well-behaved, fully house-trained, never has accidents, and respects boundaries (she used to be allowed on furniture, but hasn't been for 3 years now).
Ellie is wonderful with children — she’s been around my kids (ages 2, 7, and 9) and has always been gentle and patient. She can also be left alone during the day without any issues, making her an easy and dependable companion.
The truth is, my husband is not a dog person, and after years of trying, it has only gotten harder for Ellie. With another baby on the way, I know her life here won’t be what she deserves. She deserves a home where she is truly wanted, valued, and loved the way she gives love back.
Ellie was very social when she was younger, but she was attacked at a dog park and since then over time she hasn’t been around other dogs. Because of that, she doesn’t do well with them now — but I believe with the right person and some training, she could regain her social confidence.
Ellie is truly the perfect companion — loyal, loving, and ready to give her whole heart. She just needs someone who will give her the same in return.
If you’re looking for a faithful best friend to love you unconditionally, Ellie is waiting for you.

Has your dog ever shown any challenging behaviors, such as biting a person or another pet? If so, please share some context.:
She was attacked at a dog park by another dog and had to have surgery from the bite she received. Since then she hasn’t been socialized due to my own time/energy so she’s become very antisocial with other dogs and I haven’t tested waters to see how she would really be. She has always been good aggressive with other dogs, but never humans or even kids. She just doesn’t trust other dogs but she was once very social and taken to dog parks off leash almost every day. She could get back to that place with the right help.

What's the most endearing thing about your dog?:
She just wants to love and be loved. She wants to be pet and snuggled and just feel true love and she would be your best friend.
What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
Not having another dog in the home already unless you have history working through socializing dogs. Willing to give her physical touch she wants to be snuggled, pet, and loved.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?:
This isn’t Ellie’s fault. It kills me to do this but I know it’s best for her IF I can find her the best family. If I don’t feel confident in that, I will keep her. But I know she deserves more than I can give.
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?:
