Leo is a sweet boy who needs a home with parents who will love him unconditionally. He is a timid boy but such a goofy boy when he is comfortable. Leo would do best in a house with a yard where he can feel safe in his own space. He has shown aggression towards other dogs unless he has ample amount of time to warm up to them as long as they are calm tempered. He has some trauma with being attacked by other dogs and I believe that he gets his excitement confused with aggression when it comes to other dogs. As far as cats are concerned, he has lived with 2 cats since adoption at 8 weeks old and has never attacked them. He is a high energy dog so my cats don’t like him, but he loves them! Leo is currently on anti-anxiety meds as we introduced a new baby into the house which he has not taken well to. He is the sweetest dog to our 3 month old, but he is uncomfortable in his day to day life in our home and we feel he will be much happier in a house with parents who can show him an unlimited amount of attention and affection.

Has your dog ever shown any challenging behaviors, such as biting a person or another pet? If so, please share some context.:
Leo has bit another dog once when the other dog snapped at him. This was one of many instances of another dog attacking him at the dog park (we don’t go anymore), and this one was one time too many. He has snapped at friends who got too close to the baby not he hasn’t actually bit anyone. We have separated him from the baby when others are around - but he absolutely loves our little one. He has never shown aggression toward him.
How often does your dog require grooming (e.g., bathing, brushing, trimming)? :
Bathing whenever he is dirty or every few weeks. He has short hair so it has never been an issue unless he’s really dirty or been in a lake.
Does your dog have a dental care routine (e.g., brushing, chews, professional cleanings)?:
