Porkchop

Porkchop was found abandoned and in poor condition. I discovered him as a stray and immediately took him to the vet to check for a microchip and locate his owners. The microchip led me to his previous owners, so I left a voicemail and later received a call from the owner’s girlfriend, who said she would pick him up. However, about an hour later, she called back and told me they could no longer care for him because he was “too much of a hassle.” She explained that Porkchop had been crated all day, had frequent accidents in the house, and suffered from severe skin allergies. She also mentioned that he had escaped the night before—I later learned that he had traveled almost 7.7 miles to where I found him.
