Stevie is an almost 5 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound located in Ventura, California. She has the goofiest personality and will make you laugh every day. Her big eyes, ears and beautiful tri-color coat accompanied by her deep baying garners attention and compliments every time she leaves the house. She loves attention and pets from her loved ones and would come with you everywhere if she could. Stevie has a very strong nose and loves to play games that involve scent tracking. She is an active dog and needs daily exercise, but will happily lounge around the house once she has been exercised. She is happiest after running full speed in a fenced area or spending the day playing and socializing with other dogs. She is crate trained and knows commands such as sit, stay, and place.
Stevie was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder a year ago called Hypoparathyroidism. Her treatment requires one pill daily. After she was diagnosed, she no longer exhibits any symptoms of the disorder.
Stevie is friendly towards humans/children and loves guests at the house. She has never exhibited any aggression towards people. On walks, she can be reactive when she sees other dogs but she is all bark and no bite. She displays great friendly behavior when off leash.
Being a hound dog, she is stubborn and requires some patience when it comes to her quirks and loud voice, but when her needs are met she is the perfect family dog.
