Meet Charlie! He is a 4 year old Morkie originally from Florida. He came to me after a few failed homes right before his first birthday - June 29th 2021. He is a sweet and cuddly little guy weighing in at 15 lbs. His silky soft hair and perfect size body make him an ideal snuggler. He loves going on morning and evening walks to do his business and explore his surroundings. He loves to play with his toys and sometimes steal socks. He is an excellent lookout and house protector as he spends a lot of time looking out the door or window for any suspicious packages or neighbors walking by. He is sure to let everyone in the house know when he sees something outside! As Charlie has all of these sweet and desirable qualities you would want for a pet, he also has some areas that need improvement. Charlie can be very mouthy when playing and is also nippy at times. He tries to herd you to the door when he wants to be let out or will mouth your hand to ensure you keep petting him. He can also be very jumpy or reactive if he is caught off guard. He can also be possessive of certain things such as toys and treats. Charlie has been my pride and joy for the past 3.5 years. From going on boat rides and road trips together to first vet and grooming appointments Charlie and I have been through a lot together. However due to his nature he does not get along with my 1 year old and it is becoming unsafe for both my son and Charlie. Charlie would be an excellent dog for a single older person as he really latches on to his owner and enjoys lots of love and quality time. He gets along with other older dogs but has not been around cats. He should not be in a home with children as he can be unpredictable at times.

Charlie is trained on an E-Collar. He is extremely obedient to it and is fully aware of the remote and collar. He understands boundaries and often goes on walks without a lease as he is very aware of expectations with his collar on. He has great recall as well. That being said he also knows when his collar is NOT on… so it is inportant to charge it daily to make sure it can be in use each day to ensure his behavior is desirable.
