Oso

Oso is a 5-year-old shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This goofy, loving boy is always up for an adventure—whether that’s hitting the trail, chasing a ball, or cuddling up on the couch after a long day.
Oso is very well-trained and ready to impress: he’s leash trained, place-bed trained, crate trained, and even has reliable off-leash skills with an e-collar. He enjoys playing games or hide and seek and “find it”, he likes to run on the treadmill. He also gets along well with other dogs and enjoys the occasional day at doggy daycare.
As a shepherd mix, Oso can be barrier-reactive (windows, fences, leashes), and he tends to be an anxious guy in busy environments. Because of this, he must go to a home without young children. We are heartbroken that Oso is not handling the stress of us having a second child and we are searching for a new loving home for him. He needs a calmer environment where he can relax and thrive.
Oso will make an incredible companion for someone who understands shepherds, enjoys training, and wants a loyal, fun, adventure-ready best friend. If that sounds like you, Oso can’t wait to meet you!
Oso would love a home with a large fenced in yard, or even land to run in. He prefers the quiet country life vs city life.
