What commands does your dog know?: Halo looks to be used for a quick breeding when she was a puppy so she doesn’t not know any commands but I have been working with her and I have her responding to finger snaps and hand claps. Still working on verbal commands.

How does your dog react to being left alone for short periods?: Barks and wines, small attempts to get out of where she is, bark some more and then sleep.

Are there any specific triggers that cause your dog anxiety or stress?: She was very timid when I got her last week. I don’t think she’s been treated well so that’s the only thing but she’s been getting so much love, she comfortable now. She’s the most innocent dog I’ve seen, she doesn’t growl, bark, nibble. I’m assuming she was used for breeding and sent straight to the shelter afterwards sadly. So she’s just the perfect soft pup, ready for some patient, NON-ABUSIVE, training.

Is there a daily routine that works well for your dog (feeding, walking, sleep)?: Walks around the yard have been working for her so you could set your schedule and I think she’ll work with it. She was skin and bones when I got her so I feel her in small amounts 3-4 times a day at the moment. She’s looking much better and is ready for a set schedule. She sleeps throughout the day and when I go to bed, she politely sleeps in the cage with the door closed. I can’t leave her out because she’ll wake up and use the bathroom(I tried it). My other dog really does not like her in my bedroom because that’s her safe space at the moment so Halo sleeps perfectly in the cage at night. You may be up before she’s fully awake.

Has your dog ever shown any challenging behaviors, such as biting a person or another pet? If so, please share some context.: Not at all

How often does your dog require grooming (e.g., bathing, brushing, trimming)? : I have been using doggy wet wipes, being that I’ve only had her for a week, I was still learning her and did not want to try a bath just yet. I have not noticed much shedding from her.

Does your dog have a dental care routine (e.g., brushing, chews, professional cleanings)?: From looking at her teeth, no. I’ve been working on getting her to let me brush her teeth. She did not do bad.

How is your dog with other dogs?: Very friendly: Loves meeting and playing with other dogs.

How is your dog with cats?: Not sure: Haven't had enough interaction to determine.

What's the most endearing thing about your dog?: She has 0 aggression in her, I have never seen a dog so sweet.

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?: Hopefully at least one person that’s always home, or someone who works short hours. A loving family with no physical discipline. This dog deserves the sweetest person in the world to be its owner.

Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?: She’s the perfect addition to any family. If I didn’t have a dog already, I would keep her.

Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Other, Not in List

Details about rehoming reason (if needed): I have an 8 year old dog that is not taking well to having another dog in the house and I work long hours 3/4 days and Halo doesn’t like to be left alone. She’s literally ONLY vocal once you leave her in the house alone, no matter room or cage. She eventually sleeps it off.
