What are your pet's favorite toys and activities?: Favorite toy is a rope to play tug of war. Favorite activity is chewing deer antlers. Favorite treat is dried cod skin. Always enjoys a lick pad with pumpkin puree and peanut butter.

Has your dog received any formal obedience training?: Yes

What commands does your dog know?: Drop it. Walk. Hold. Knows to wait before going through doors. Really good at walking on leash, knows heel. Knows place and holds it for a little while. Sit.

How does your dog react to being left alone for short periods?: Gets whinny and cries, barks occasionally.

Are there any specific triggers that cause your dog anxiety or stress?: Other dogs barking causes him to bark. He isn’t a fan of hearing doorbells or knocking.

Is there a daily routine that works well for your dog (feeding, walking, sleep)?: He wakes up every day between 7 and 8 and goes for a walk to go potty. After the walk he gets a cup and a half of food. Moderate excersice through the day with walks and tug of war work pretty good. At the end of the day he gets another cup and a half of food

Does your pet have any history of health issues or medical conditions that potential adopters should be aware of?: Prone to ear infections and needs cleaning at least once a week.

Has your dog ever shown any challenging behaviors, such as biting a person or another pet? If so, please share some context.: When we first adopted Clarke he would mouth really bad on people and wouldn’t listen. Through his training he no longer mouths unless overly excited or way to frustrated. Very little mouthing, but never bites to break skin

How often does your dog require grooming (e.g., bathing, brushing, trimming)? : Needs a bath every other week. Ear cleaning once a week, very little trimming.

Does your dog have a dental care routine (e.g., brushing, chews, professional cleanings)?: Chewing on a deer antlers keeps his teeth clean. Dried fish skin also helps keep his teeth white.

How is your dog with other dogs?: Friendly: Generally gets along well with other dogs.

What's the most endearing thing about your dog?: He is a loving dog that wants to do everything with you and is always ready for an adventure. Hikes, car rides or even just going to get mail he wants to be with you.

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?: We want somebody who will give Clarke all the love in the world. We cannot keep him for family reasons and are insanely saddened we can’t keep him. Someone who is understanding and slow to anger would be best. Willing to keep his training program through Bark Busters would be amazing for him.

Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?: He can be a hand full and loud at times but he is such an amazing and good boy. His nickname is Bubba and favorite color is Green.
