Duke

Duke is an 8-month-old large-breed working dog with a big heart and playful personality. He loves fetch, tug-of-war, and splashing in water. Plus, he’s a big cuddle bug who loves to snuggle and give kisses. He’s also protective, loyal, and enjoys being close to his family.

Duke is about 70 lbs, up to date on vaccinations, and potty trained. He still needs consistent training and structure - especially with leash manners and house rules - but he's adaptable, a fast learner, and responds very well to positive reinforcement.

Because of his size and energy, Duke needs a home with a large, secure yard or acreage and daily exercise. He’s not a fit for small kids, apartments, or someone looking for a low-maintenance dog. He must go to a family experienced with large breeds.

Duke is available with his brother, Curly. It’s strongly preferred they stay together, though they may be adopted separately to homes that can meet their needs.
