Roxy

Roxy is a sweet and affectionate 1-year-old Boxer/Terrier mix who’s ready to find a loving home where she can truly thrive. This smart and sensitive girl is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, house-trained, and in excellent health.

She’s calm by nature, rarely barks, and adores snuggling, she’ll happily spend the day curled up with her people or soaking in the sun after a play session. Roxy is crate trained (she sleeps soundly in her crate at night), knows a wide range of commands, and responds beautifully to guidance.

Her Favorite Things
Roxy is playful and athletic, she loves swimming, hiking, tug-of-war, and chasing a laser pointer. She’s a gentle eater, has no food guarding tendencies, and gets along well with other dogs. Above all, she’s a true cuddle bug and will shower you with affection if you let her.

Support Needed for a Sensitive Soul
Roxy is a loyal companion who bonds deeply with her people. Because of this, she experiences separation anxiety when left alone and may express distress through howling or chewing. She’s also sensitive to car rides and becomes nervous in transit.

Due to her strong prey drive, she is not compatible with small animals like cats or rabbits and would do best in a home without them.

Roxy Would Be a Great Fit For...

A guardian who is home often or works from home

A household with another friendly dog for companionship

A family with a fenced yard where she can play and feel secure

Someone with patience and compassion to support her when alone or during travel

Why We’re Rehoming Her
We are unable to keep her due to severe allergies in the family and an upcoming move. This is a heartfelt and difficult decision made out of love. She has never known life in a shelter, and we are committed to keeping it that way, she’ll remain in a loving foster home until her perfect match is found.

A Final Thought
Roxy is a truly special companion, gentle, loving, and devoted. With the right environment and understanding guardian, she will blossom into the most loyal and affectionate friend. If you’re looking for a sensitive, soulful dog to share your days with, Roxy just might be your girl.
