Cash

Cash is an almost 7-year-old Catahoula/Terrier mix with a strong gaze and a loyal heart. He’s a people dog — happiest when he’s near humans, whether that means following you around or curling up within a few feet on the couch. He has great manners and will quickly become part of your daily rhythm.

He has a low-to-moderate energy level. Most days, Cash is content lounging and napping, with a short morning walk and a longer evening walk - both followed naturally with food. In his down time, he tends to pick a cozy spot close by rather than demanding constant attention but he will bring you his toys when he wants you to chase him. He's good with fireworks and loud noises but doesn't love the sound of soft rain.

Cash would do best in a calm, loving home where he can be part of the family. He’s a great match for adults or respectful older kids. On leash, he can be selective with other dogs and does best with space and calm handling, which is very manageable with basic guidance. He tends to do well with smaller dogs and female dogs and has lived peacefully (and excitedly) with other pets — including a cat — in a sitter’s home.

He’s fully house-trained and kennel-trained with excellent indoor manners. He's a smart boy, knowing — sit, down, heel, leave it, come, spin, relax, and place — and he’s a great listener. He’ll even attempt a roll over, though he only makes it halfway. He has great recall, politely waits at doors, lets you know when he needs to go outside, and often puts himself to bed at night. He’s happy sleeping in a kennel or outside of one. He doesn’t need a lot of stimulation and is not destructive when left alone. Cash is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and in good health. Veterinary records are available.

Cash is ready for his next chapter and would love to meet the person or family who can give him a calm, loving place to land.
