Cooper is a 6 year old pitbull mix with lots of love to offer! Hes been my companion for the last 5 years and we have done everything together. He loves car rides, playing fetch, going for hikes, and taking a swim at the lake. I am taking the next step to move in and have children with my girlfriend, and she has a very small dog which will not work for cooper in the house. Its heart breaking for me to have to do this, but I know theres someone out there who will give cooper the love and affections I have given him for the last 5 years.

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
I truly love this dog more than I could explain. I just want someone that has the space to let him play, the time to give him the attention he needs, and the consistent love I have given him for the last 5 years.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?:
This is a really difficult situation for me. It will likely require a very dedicated adopter to accept cooper into their lives.
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?:
Incompatible with Other Pets
Details about rehoming reason (if needed):
My girlfriend is moving into my home with her smaller dog of which she has had for over 10 years. She has some allergies in relation to cooper, and we are not willing to risk the smaller dogs well being around cooper. We want to have children very soon and I am unsure how cooper will react to a baby in the house. I work 10-12 hours a day and I cant leave cooper run free in the house so he ends up spending alot of time in the crate. I feel very guilty about this and would love to see him with a family that has more time to offer than I can.
If applicable, do you have the legal right or necessary permission from the breeder or rescue organization to rehome this pet? :
Not Applicable

Cooper gets a limited ingredient dry food from chewy (venison and sweet potato) with the OLLIE mail order fresh food as a topper. (2 times per day)
