Lucky

Lucky is a sweet, playful, fun‑loving Shiba Inu mix. He is affectionate, curious, and loves being part of whatever you do. Lucky has a medium high energy level and is always ready for going outside for a short or long walk. He sleeps quietly through the night and enjoys curling up on a comfy bed or next to you. Lucky loves his walks and currently enjoys several short walks a day totaling about 2-4 miles. He is a great companion for someone who likes a daily routine and a dog who appreciates both activity and downtime. Lucky would thrive as an only dog in a calm, loving home where he can bond deeply with his owner(s). Lucky is house trained. When walking with you, he will stop and sit if you pause to talk with someone. He will go inside a crate for a nap once in a while. He can be excitable on leash when he sees other dogs, so he will benefit from continued positive‑reinforcement training. He has never shown aggression toward people. Lucky is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. We have given him a sedating medication so that he is calm during vet visits. Lucky does not have any known medical conditions. The vet reports that his mouth/teeth/gums look fantastic, and his heart and lungs sound great. His weight of 31 pounds is normal, and his ears, eyes, skin/haircoat are normal. Lucky is a light eater. He has been eating a mixture of chicken, rice, and dry dog food. Occasionally he will take a dog treat. We are giving him a trial of a calming medication. He may benefit from dog training.
