Hi! I'm Django. I'm a very intelligent and loving dog. Once I bond with someone, I deeply trust them. I love to cuddle, and when you come home after being away for ANY period of time, it's the greatest thing in the world.
I'm a very active dog and need a good level of stimulation. I love a job, and I LOVE toys, sticks, balls, and playing fetch. When not playing, I enjoy napping in front of the fireplace and snuggling with my owner.
I struggle with reactivity and fear-based aggression. I thrive in a quieter environment and prefer predictability. I require management when out and about, and I can react to outside distractions. I like structured play with my doggie friends at daycare, but I'm reactive to other dogs when walking on a leash.
There is a lot of sweetness in me. I love learning and working on my training skills. I would benefit from a home with time/resources to support continued training and someone who understands or has experience with reactivity.
XO,
Django Bean

Has your dog ever shown any challenging behaviors, such as biting a person or another pet? If so, please share some context.:
He has reactivity and fear-based aggression. He can be fearful of certain, random things and will hide under the bed. He doesn't do well with strangers in tight spaces and he requires management to prevent an incident like biting. When people come over, we meet them outside. Django can recognize they are not a threat and then we all enter the house and Django is comfortable. There has been resource guarding with other dogs over food, toys, and space.
