Book

  • Fluffy Tuxedo cat with a very soft voice
  • Shy and aloof but very sweet once he knows you're not a danger
  • Plays independently
  • Always up for a chuuru or other liquid snack
  • Very polite in telling you he's unhappy with something by very quickly slapping you with just his paw pad (no claws), flinching, or just running away, but his tail normally tells you what he's feeling before that
  • Will protect the other cats from you if theyre under the bed with him and he's not familiar with you yet

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?: Book needs someone who can give him attention everyday once he gets used to them. They also need to be patient in learning about his preferences since he's pretty particular in a couple areas about different things.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?: I'm going to really miss him, he's very sweet despite being pretty shy.
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Schedule, No Time
Details about rehoming reason (if needed): I (Alex Kunczynski's son) am Book's primary source of stability, but I go to my mom's house for a whole week every other week because of their custody agreement, so he loses that stability every time I go over. He's prone to peeing on things when distressed and he pees on things when I'm gone which is why he needs someone who can spend time with him even if it means just talking, giving treats, or being in the same room and not petting him since he's not very cuddly.
If applicable, do you have the legal right or necessary permission from the breeder or rescue organization to rehome this pet? :
Not Applicable
Yes
How long will you be able to keep your pet before you may need to consider surrendering him or her to a rescue?: Not an option, my pet will stay with me for as long as it takes
Who is your veterinarian?: VCA Four Paws
What do you feed your pet, and does he/she have any feeding quirks or preferences?: Dry food with occasional liquid treat. Prefers if other cats are not in the room while he's eating (if they're prone to food snatching cause he's a bit of a pushover) so he doesn't have to rush
Do you currently have pet insurance?: Yes
Would you consider a long-distance adoption?:
Yes
No
