We need help re-homing our handsome boy. He’s a beautiful boy who only wants to be loved. He needs to go to a home where there is patience and dog knowledge. He is a rescue and we believe he was abused before. He use to be very scared of everything. He’s improved a lot over the year and half that we have had him but needs to be socialized. He is very smart and thinks he’s a lap dog. He loves to climb on our laps like a baby. He is very fast and energetic. He loves to get into our pool no matter the weather. He can be a great companion to someone that loves to run or is very outdoorsy. He comes across as aggressive but it’s a response out of fear. He’s never fought our other dogs or has ever bitten anyone human.

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
That he’s goes to a loving home that will not give up on him. He’s afraid a lot of the time when it comes to humans. We believe there was a history of abuse as he would run and coward in a corner with any sudden moves when we first got him. He’s improved so much. He’s playful now and runs around and wants to be cuddled and played with. His fear comes across as aggression because he barks at strangers. So who ever gets him
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?:
He’s never fought out female dogs. He's very strong. I wouldn’t recommend for him to be adopted by a home with small children until he’s trained I have small kids and an autistic daughter and he’s never ever done anything to them. He doesn’t even jump on them. He’s very smart. But as a stranger I think he needs to feel comfortable and safe before adding children into the home. He’s a very sweet dog.
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?:
Too Many Pets
Details about rehoming reason (if needed):
There are several reasons. 1. He deserves a home that has the financial stability to take care of him. 2. We don’t have the time for the life he deserves. 3. My female dogs have fought each other. So I’m afraid they’ll fight him. He has never attacked them he just watched as they fought. But after several fights with the female dogs I’ve separated all 3 and it’s been like that for 1 year and it’s a lot of work and now I have to go back to work and I can’t be around to make sure all dogs are safe and get to have the freedom to move around.
