Joey, the Mini Australian Shepherd
Joey is the best dog, he just needs the perfect home. He is a mini Australian shepherd that I rescued from the side of the road and he has grown to be a fun-loving pup. He has grown to have some light protective/possessive qualities over owner which causes concern for new baby.
He is sweet, gentle and loves to play. He plays with the other 2 dogs and 1 cat that are in the same home. He has spots in the home he loves to lay that are considered is safe places.
If there is a home that has perhaps 1 other dog, no young children and someone or family that is active and keeps a routine, he would thrive. He loves to run and chase the ball. He is selective on which men or males he is OK with. In over a year, he has never grown to like my husband; however, he has quickly warmed up and played with other men. He does have some anxiety and would require some time and patience to learn a new home and family. He is on Clomicalm to assist with that, and that daily medication has been a savior for him.

There was 1 incident that poses a future risk with the baby. No harm done, but we have to consider the risk.
