Lily is almost 4 years old, born June 15, 2022.
She was purchased from a breeder in Nashville, Tennessee and has corresponding papers. Lily is spayed and up to date on her shots.
Lily has been an amazing dog for our family. She's very sweet, loves spending time with us and is always around. Lily doesn't leave my side.
Lily loves going on walks, eating and being with her family. She's walked quite a bit, due to energy. She will eat more than her body can handle, so we limit food.
She's either with me or my wife. She's always around and we love that about her. She has some basic training - sit, come, no and is good on a leash.
I have always had a dog and Lily ranks up there as one of my best dogs.
As a puppy, she was curious, funny and always into something. She has 3 other dogs that live here with us. A 12 year old Mastiff, 8 year old Terrier/Chihuahua mix and a mini-Poodle that's 3.
Lily was always timid around the mastiff but get along great with the two little dogs. Actually, Lily and our poodle are very close, probably due to age. They often play and wrestle and it never goes overboard, if anything the Poodle did a great job setting boundaries when they were younger and Lily respects those boundaries.
Recently, within the past 7-8 months (reaching sexual maturity) Lily has been showing signs of dog aggression.
She has attacked our Mastiff 5 or 6 times. Each time Lily is the agresser. She also attacked a neighbor dog a couple months ago - accidentally got out of the front door.
The attacks, while not often are quite unsettling for our family. We have 3 daughters that grew up with our Mastiff and it scares them for Lily and the Mastiff to be around one another. (We now keep them separate)
She's also growled at the Poodle as in recent weeks.
Due to this change in her demeanor, we have decided it best that Lily found a home without other dogs. It's very sad to write this and an even more difficult decision to rehome her.
Lastly, she's shown zero signs of human aggression. She absolutely loves everyone she meets and everyone loves her.
