I found Koda on 2/25/26 wandering the streets in Brentwood, Ca. I took him to a vet to check for a microchip. He is microchipped and his owner has moved out of state and can no longer care for him anymore. I can only keep him until 3/26/26.
Koda is a male, 7 year old, 51lb German shepherd/collie mix. He is house trained and up to date on all shots. He is friendly with all people including young kids and babies. Koda likes playing with dogs off leash in an enclosed yard, but needs to be redirected not to bark at other dogs if they get too close on walks. On walks Koda ignores cats. Inside the home Koda enjoys lounging around and does not bark. I think he would do fine in both a dog friendly apartment or a house. He is currently living in an apartment with myself and my 9 year old daughter.

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
It is important to me that Koda has a stable home, potential adopters will either need to own a house or have a lease that permits pets. An enclosed yard would be nice, but not required as long as thy have the time to walk him a few times a day.

Koda is very loving and deserves a home and a family. His original owner adopted him when he was a puppy and up until the time I found him he was used to living in a home with a family. I want him to find his forever family.
