Momma Cat & Male Kitten

Momma and male kitten looking for a home together or individually! They were found stray in my town (near Black Mountain), they have been happily bunking in our upstairs guest bedroom for the last week. Had all of their vet care including spay/neuter and are ready for a forever family

They are SO SWEET! Momma has tuxedo coloring, is about 1 year old, and is super friendly, warms up to strangers fairly quickly, loves affection/petting, loves being indoors, is very calm and gentle and sweet. She purrs a lot when being petted, it's wonderful how much she trusts given that she was so recently an outdoor kitty!

Her little male kitten is about 5-6 months old, is charcoal grey color and is much fuzzier/longer fur than momma. He is adorable! Far more shy for sure, but is learning to trust. He intensely watches his momma interact with me, sees how comfortable she is, how much she likes being petted, how much she trusts me, and it is rubbing off. For the first few days, he mostly hid under the bed and watched me from a distance. By end of Day 3, he started coming around to visit, and on Day 4 asked for some brief petting! He is still quite unsure about it all, darts away if i move too quickly or if there is an unexpected noise, but he comes for brief petting several times a day and is for sure gaining some trust. He also has a very gentle, sweet, nature. It's lovely to hear him start purring when i pet him.

They certainly love each otherm and one of the sweetest things i have seen so far is that the little kitten will suckle on momma for comfort for a while, with momma cuddling him while he does. Momma is not still producing milk, it's clearly just a comfort/attachment/bonding situation and it's very sweet to see. They might love to stay together in a new home, but also would probably be ok if each went into the right home for them.
