Sometimes instead of this we go for a run together with leash or a hike in the woods behind our property unleashed. She never goes beyond ability to hear her name called and always comes back. 6:00pm dinner. She gets to go outside 2-3 more times before going to bed at about 10pm or earlier. Additional notes about your dog’s health history::
There was one time when she appeared to have an allergic reaction to something but we never figured out what it was other than the food brand Taste of the Wild. Her symptoms included hives and vomiting which subsided when we changed food.
Has your dog ever shown any challenging behaviors, such as biting a person or another pet? If so, please share some context.:
Mila has reactivity towards other dogs that can range from mild to severe. The severe attacks on other dogs have occurred mainly on our property (her territory) and is suspected to be a result of either protecting us, the property, or a resource be it a toy or a bone. Sometimes it is unpredictable, in the sense that there is no resource and her body language does not indicate something is about to happen. Mostly this has occurred when it is on our property, but growling and lunging toward unknown dogs on trails is a regular occurrence. However, in the right conditions, she has been able to make other dog friends.
How often does your dog require grooming (e.g., bathing, brushing, trimming)? :
Mila has short hair but seems to always be shedding, so brushing frequently is helpful.

Mila chews a lot which helps her teeth

What's the most endearing thing about your dog?:
Mila has the sweetest one-sided snarly smile when she comes to visit you on the toilet
What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
Mila needs to show off her athletic skills daily which is easy to do with her chuck-it obsession. She does not like children (tends to hide from them/show uncomfortable body language), and would probably do best as an only-dog. She currently lives with a littermate, which is contributing negatively to behaviors in both of them. She makes an excellent running companion, absolutely loves to snuggle but is good about not getting on the furniture unless you let her know it is ok. She's not destructive but has very strong jaws which she enjoys to use on marrow bones. Snuffle mats are her favorite way to enjoy a meal. Mila is a dog in need of physical and mental stimulation, she's very teachable and loves to please. Having a routine with Mila is really important, but throwing in a surprise adventure here and there would make her light up!
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?:
Mila has sibling/littermate syndrome with her brother in her current home. She has a ton of potential but her current environment cannot provide what she needs to flourish. Mila wants to be the center of attention 100% of the time if possible.
