Meet Tex. He is a warm and playful dog who has been with us since October. He was a rescue from Texas. He has been nothing but wonderful with our immediate family. He is a fabulous companion, house trained, a great walker and a great listener. Unfortunately he has had 2 biting incidents with younger children who love to run. As a cattle dog, his herding instinct is causing him to want to slow the children down. He is well trained and is great with our children. If we didn't have a a younger child, this wouldn't be a concern for us.

Yes this is why we need to rehome him. He is a loving and kind dog with his family which includes 2 children. After having him for a month, my son was alone with his friend and the friend was getting in the dogs face and the dog bit him. We got him training and a muzzle and he was doing really well with it and we were even able to have him around children without a muzzle without incident. Then a child entered our backyard without our permission and started running and the dog nipped at her ankle.
