Was this pet ever in a shelter, rescue, or foster program? If yes, please provide details.: Yes, Benson was transported from GA to MD to a rescue that I volunteered for. I fostered Benson when he arrived. A couple weeks later I adopted him. He was about 12 weeks old when I adopted him.

Both dogs were locked onto each other. It resulted in his housemate having over 10 puncture wounds and bruising.

What's the most endearing thing about your dog?: He reaches into your soul and steals your heart. He's very personable and sensitive to your moods and needs. He connects with his person and is totally devoted and loyal. Very loving and affectionate, watches over his person, sweet, impeccable house manners, and very attentive.
What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?: 6 ft fence, ALL positive reinforcement, fear free, reward based training is an absolute MUST. No kids and he would love a housemate but it has to be the right one.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?: Benson is a cautious guy. He can be sensitive to sudden movements or sounds. He might take a couple of minutes to warm up to some people. He is dog selective but has lived with 4 different dogs with no issues until recently. No food or resource guarding. He's an easy keeper. He pulls on leash and can be reactive to other dogs and kids. He's selective with dogs. He is an amazing emotional support pup for his person. He reacts to your moods, kisses away your tears, snuggles with you when you are upset, and reads your emotions.
